Born into a traditional Ayurvedic family with a healing legacy spanning three generations, Dr. Shyam Kumar continues the heritage established in 1957 by his grandfather, the late T.K. Velayudhan Nair, founder of Dhanwanthari Vilasam Ayurveda Vaidyasala. His uncle , P.V. Vasudevan Nair, actively contributed to medicine preparation and clinical operations, supporting the family’s mission of delivering authentic Ayurveda to the community.

Throughout his career, Dr. Shyam Kumar has successfully treated numerous complex cases, with a specialisation in infertility and paediatric care. He has a track record of curing a significant number of infertility cases through personalised treatment protocols.

Professionally, he has served in renowned Ayurvedic hospitals, wellness centres, and academic institutions in India and Malaysia, holding positions such as Resident Medical Officer, Guest Lecturer, Ayurvedic Consultant, and Senior Branch Physician. His work includes associations with reputed organisations like Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala, Sri Sri Tattva Panchakarma, and Dhanwanthari Vilasam Ayurvedic Centre, Malaysia.

Fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil, Dr. Shyam Kumar is skilled in treating patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
